The concept of this piece is one of the most well-know oppositions in the world, light & dark. I first thought of it watching the movie Gabriel about Arc angels vs fallen angels. I portrayed her as the light and placed a blind fold over her eyes to convey innocence. I got the idea off one my friends, X. He has a blinded virgin mary tattooed on his arm. I though it was interesting. I wanted to give a very ancient statue-like feel to her skin with grunge and crack texture. I wanted to give it a very aged & divine feel to it. Hope you like it. I don't really like writing about my projects so I hope this summary gives you a little insight about what goes on inside my head when creating my work.
